Getting started with Ryver webhooks, APIs and bots.

Welcome to the Ryver developer page! We know you have great ideas for how to integrate Ryver into your environment, or with other Cloud services that you use. Perhaps you want to create a bot that your Ryver organization users can interact with. This page will help you discover the Ryver APIs and tools at your disposal.

If you don’t see what you are looking for, please reach out to support and we’ll work with you to understand your needs and help you get the most out of the available Ryver tools. Or perhaps you’ll help us prioritize our next developer API!

Below, you can see the three key developer categories that we have documented and made available. Use the side bar on the left to navigate around this site, or search with the search box at the top of the page.

Use Incoming Webhooks to create new chat messages, topics or tasks in Ryver just by sending a plain text or JSON payload to a URL over HTTPS. You can use markdown to format the messages to include tables and other rich display options.

Soon, we’ll be adding outbound webhook support as well.

REST web service APIs

Want to programmatically create new teams/forums and add chat messages, topics or tasks? Need to invite new users via your organization website back-end? Or maybe you just want to query for all active users in your organization. The Ryver REST Web Service API exposes all of this functionality.

Ryver Bots

Want to add a cool bot to your Ryver account that can watch for keywords in Forums and Teams and perform actions, or respond to direct requests? We built Hubot and BotKit adapters for Ryver that allow you to do all kinds of great things if you have a coder in-house to set it up.
